Tonight the sky
Is a giant swatch of
Plush black velvet
Covered in diamonds

Your touch
Is the lightning
Riveting through me
Burning tattoos into my soul

This is the
Beauty and tranquility
Of the desert night and
We alone, are her witnesses

The desert is a beautiful place both day and night. It's tranquility of night evens out the heat noise of the day. Still writing from your heart.

I've had the pleasure to witness those desert nights, and they can sure do that to you. Very romantic if you have warm shelter and water. Otherwise, those burning tattoos can be painful.
