How does one dig oneself from an unexpected avalanche of experiences and emotions?

Poem Artwork

Avalanche

I don’t think you know
How you snowed over me
With your smile
Your honey hair
Your ears
Your eyes
Your nose
Your teeth
Your breasts
Your tiny silky hairs
Your scent
Your complete you
You wholly snowed over me
I try not to think of you
I miss too many heartbeats
I will be snowed under even deeper
I shall no longer breathe
Sweet avalanche

The French is a little different.  I don’t know why.  Different mood I guess.

Avalanche

Je ne pense pas que tu saches
Comment tu es mon avalanche
Tu m’ensevelis dans ta neige
Avec ton sourire
Tes cheveux argentés
Tes oreilles
Tes yeux
Ton nez
Tes dents
Tes seins
Tes tous petits poils
Ta senteur
Ton toi essentiel
Tu m’ensevelis dans ta neige
Je ne peux plus te regarder
Sans que mon cœur manque des battements
Je serai enseveli encore plus profondément
Tu me rendras fou
Je ne pourrai plus respirer
Douce avalanche

What a great title again (best yet! i've read) I wish I could write and arrange words like this into something really meaningful but I'm too grammatical. Simple & brilliant! This is real relationship poetry without all the blabbering spillout of tortued souls who haven't mastered language (myself included)! Luckily I always have my piano and I paid my dues there believe me. Are you French canadian?
Tomorrow the "B" column.

Hey, Reg!
It's time to dig your way out and take a look around for a way to escape! Missing heartbeats and not being able to breathe call for a rescue effort before it's too late!
Okay, I'm sorry. I get carried away sometimes in my attempts to be funny.
This is one that should mesmerize the subject when you read it to her. To be the one who is called "Sweet Avalanche" is to be sweetly adored. Any woman's head would be turned by such absolute devotion in response to her charms.

Ah, love!

Reg,
I enjoyed reading and liked how your progression of thought in itself suggested the uncontrolled tumble of an avalanche. I wonder if you could extend this into a second stanza? ....perhaps in a second verse making reference to 'your laughter, your sighs, your tears'....something alone that line. Just a passing thought as I read your lovely poem of how emotional beauty can catch us up as well as physical beauty.

...warm regards,
...jeanne

Beautiful work. Amazing how when we let love in- you just never know if you are grabbing the tail of a tempest, of if it will be more like a fragrant summer breeze . . .
I guess the mystery is part of why we want it so badly. Even if it might just kill us.

Pier said that "there is something intriguing about outrunning an avalanche." But can we actually outrun the avalanche of emotions that we build up in a realtionship, marriage, or friendship? If we do, then we are greater than great, because we have done something no one else can. You have actually put the mood of trying not to think of her, in a light perspective that makes this poem truly beautiful. Nice imagery and great flow. Thank you for sharing Reg.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))), your sister, Barbie
