A Woman Reading Poetry with Thoughts of Love Ron AI

Love Is

Love is in an infant’s eyes,

Love is in strong family ties,

Love is innocence becoming wise.

Love is old and love is new,

Love is me and love is you,

Love is never, ever, blue.

Love is natural and benign,

Love is easy on the mind,

Love is the best you'll find.

Love is what can make you cry,

Love is what can make you lie,

Love is what can make you die.

Love is hard to completely define,

Love is often different over time,

Love is like aged fine wine.

Make love, not war, while you live,

Make the world better as you give.

WELL, I DON'T AGREE THAT; LOVE IS NEVER BLUE, 'CAUSE... LOVE CAN GET 'PRETTY BLUE' AT TIMES. BUT STILL, IT IS LOVE THAT TAKES ONE ...THROUGH THE 'BLUE'. I LOVE THIS SHARING, RONALD, ENJOYED. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS

Readers responded well to your ‘Love Is’ poem, Ron. Rightly so, and my favorite is stanza #5, especially the first line. Wisdom is in that line, for definition is a challenge, a pain, a pleasure. I appreciate your post today, because there is a mighty torrent of love’s antithesis swirling through the atmosphere of our whole world….and we can sure appreciate breaths of love and roses in order to keep lifting our eyes open. Thanks, Ron*. ~~ djl

Oh Ron, such an open-handed hope that love, in all its forms, could belong to us all. Never lose that inner beauty and the dreamers, lovers and hopeful may yet win.

Ron you put all your lines perfectly for all to understand. I love it. Why can't everyone make love, not war. We have one life to live so why not give. Thank you for sharing.

This poem has a broad generosity of spirit. I like how you move from innocence to experience with such ease—beginning in an infant’s eyes and ending with the call to “make love, not war.” The poem feels freshly spoken, a reminder that love is simple, complex, joyful, painful, and evolving. Well done.
