the beautiful river |
|
In the rapidly rising
river of dream
the shadowy residue
of abandoned desire
floats below.
Like a mud soaked house,
or a tree trunk dropping
into water,
drowned fears,
drowned memories arise.
I see them clearly,
floating downstream.
The river has brought them
back to me.
I can not look away.
Pour me on the bank
of the river
where I stand.
Let me float through
the rocks and mud;
a branch
swept in time's hand.
