We were having so much fun

It seems that Minneapolis

Our flight has overrun

Never mind the swaying circles

The controllers make us fly

They just want to know it’s us

So they don’t shoot us from the sky

Our always helpful crewmates

Will free drinks to you bring

Please ignore the F-16

Flying just off our left wing

I’d guess that Delta’s sorry

They bought this sad airline

They’ll be the butt of every joke

For this little stunt of mine

But we at Northwest Airlines

Want you to fly with smiles

So we’re going to up the ante

With extra frequent flyer miles

We hope the inconvenience

Hasn’t soured you on us

For after all we recognize

We’re just a flying bus
