Don't Mess With The Boss

A friend recently had a run in with the boss. And we all know the golden rule. He who has the gold rules.
To the tune "I walk the line"

I keep a close watch on how you spend your time

I keep my eyes wide open it’s my dime

If you want to work here let me now define

 

Because you're mine

You’ll walk the line

 

I find it very very easy to tell you

Keep this crap up and you’ll soon be through

Yes I’ll admit I’ve got it in for you

 

Because you're mine

You’ll walk the line

 

As sure as work is dark and play is light

I’ll ride your sorry ass both day and night

It just pleases me to know I’m right

 

Because you're mine

You’ll walk the line

 

I’ve got a way to keep you by my side

It’s called a paycheck from which you can’t hide

Might be your last one that can’t be denied

 

Because you're mine

You’ll walk the line

I walked that damned old line for far too many years,

With idiotic bosses, who at their own 'genius,' cheered;

And one fine day, when I just could not take it, for one day more,

I gave them a very fine, four letter, salute, and I walked out the door.

Delusions of Power, from a warped mind. This is all to common. Sorry, I had a boss like this, this hits too close to home for me to laugh. Today, I just pray for her, and her employees.

I guess it is kind of funny.

Your little song/story reminded me of a boss I had many years ago, and he sang that same tune...funny part was about six months after he kicked my sorry butt to the street, he and three other 'top' management people were shown the door. I guess it's a simple case of what goes around, comes around...or something like that. Nice work!
