The Break

I have been buried lately with no time for my Den friends. Relief is in sight

The boss done beat the crap

Out of my sorry ass for weeks

But because he pays me

I cannot turn either of my cheeks

 

But I finished what I had to do

And I’m gonna take a break

Retreating to Mark Twain’s Forest

To my refuge on the lake

 

I’ll take along my laptop

As the words will surely spew

And take a little time to enjoy

Your poetry that I’ll review

 

Relaxation is the one true goal

The one I’m sure to meet

Just sitting on the boat dock

To soak my weary little feet

Very lovely to get away and take a break..Our body and mind need this so badly and it certainly looks like you have earned this much needed rest..Have a beautiful time and be open to writing I am sure it will flow..
