Dogs are creatures of habit, morning rituals especially.

Photo:The Weasel in all her glory

Poem Artwork

The sun has come up

The day is still young

The alarm clock has sounded

Now it’s time for the tongue

Face down on my pillow

With no place to hide

She locates my ear hole

And sticks it inside

She’s a mistress of foreplay

It’s her means to an end

And just after sunrise

It’s mighty hard to defend

Though this might sound erotic

Like some sort of nirvana

It’s only the Weasel

Hustling her morning banana

Repeated efforts are tireless

She won’t stop till you’re crazy

This snooze button terrier

Has no patience for the lazy

So with the mission successful

And master rousted from bed

She scampers off to the kitchen

And simply waits to be fed

The morning ritual continues

With no end in sight

Perhaps I should feed her

The banana at night

I think my little Rat Terrierorist Jack must be related to your Weasel. He likes to shove a squeaky toy in my face about 4 AM to let me know that he's ready to heed the call of nature, and then to play!

My cats are much more civilized; they don't start bugging us for their breakfast until at least 5!
