Those of you with any gray hair at all, will recall this Nabisco jingle;
“Yer’ darn tootin’ I like Fig Newtons”
Well, this has absolutely nothing to do with that.

I note here that there is currently no AD category for utterly juvenile humor so proceed further at your own risk. Just know, that I know, you’ve all been there.

Loosely to the Ghostbusters Movie theme song.

Poem Artwork

When there something foul

In the neighborhood

Who you gonna’ blame?

Darn Tootin’

When your dog lets out

Something not so good

Who you gonna’ shame?

Darn Tootin’

When you’re all alone

Behind elevator door

What you gonna do?

Darn Tootin’

Will you take a chance

Before you reach your floor

What you gonna do?

Darn Tootin’

When you’re on the throne

It amplifies the sound

What you gonna do?

Darn Tootin’

During that sermon you’d

Prefer lost to found

Who you gonna fool?

Darn Tootin’

Sitting on that plane

Seatmate’s head phones on

What you gonna do?

Darn Tootin’

Car windows up

Too late to con

What you gonna do?

Darn Tootin’

Choice of Gas-X pills

Or nature’s course

What you gonna choose?

Darn Tootin’

Put up with them

Or seek divorce

Which grounds to use?

Darn Tootin’

Aka…

(Irreconcilable Defervescences)  …….I hear those groans

A plucky little poem, Patrick!
and a tune now resounding inside my head and taking me back a few years...to the time my son smeared butter all around the house, across every piece of furniture, every door knob, and squirted a home-made goo around the perimeter of the house to keep ghosts away.

Excellent! It works perfectly with the Ghostbusters Song. I'll be humming it all day now. :)

"Fig Newtons" This is what causes all that noise coming from behind the bathroon door? Jeeze, Patrick, I would have taken you for a "Twinkies" kind of guy.

Well, look at what work finally gets a response out of me - and the first responder to boot. I guess even old guys can revel in "Juvenile" humor. I got a real blast out of this one Pat! I'm not sure what this says about my level of sophistication in literary appreciation, but I'm going to share it with my coworkers none the less.
