You should try driving here in Florida, where those of us in our late 60's are the youngsters. Left turns from the right lane are an every day occurrence and during our rainy season, we have rain for an hour or so nearly every day.

you're right,too many panic over nothing making things worse. Did you get hail? we had one cloud burst an unusual hard driving hail that covered everything. Glad it didn't last long or it could have been terrible.

The same thing kinda happened here,
Though it wasn't rainy but everybody drove queer,
Pulling out in front of high speed traffic causes me to at them sneer,
And to think I thought that Friday the 13th was just bunk,
If they keep driving like that I am going to turn their cars into junk...Jurseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey

You'd think it have an effect on all the latino tempers in this heat, but then it only rains once or twice a year, I never seen those cement wash basins ever full, the ones that run through the city, the dry river beds,,,, Bless ya!

Certainly true in Northern California as well. There should be a permit issued to drivers who can drive in the rain.

So glad I have no place to go today, Patrick, 'cause it is raining cats and dogs (whatever that means) and thunder like I've never heard. Living off the 101, Friday afternoon traffic is never light heading northward, or, depending on how one looks at it, Westward. So glad I have no place to go today.

Hah! I hear you, used to live in Los Angeles. You really want to see some bad driving check out south Louisiana when we have our ten to fifteen year annual snowfall. I don't bother to go out. Period. Lunatics in killing machines.
