What a year this has been!   

what an unforgettable trek   

What a whirl I've been in

ups and downs?...you bet! ******

There's been times of desperate need

plain out...destitute  

Yet in the midst – hope’s seed     

brightening my darkest route *****

Why, for a while there, I thought...    

Dear God, what's happening?!!

Then His presence gave me what I sought    

and fulfilled my hope by answering... ******

Lean on me my child and trust    

don't you never, ever doubt     

You've lost nothing but things that 'rust'

things that at yonder gate, won't keep you out******

 So here I stand at the end of a year   

that started out so bleak   

But God, a man of His Word, stayed near

never leaving my side...and 'still' keeps******

Farewell old year, we’ve come to your end…    

corridors laden with joy amidst much blows

In retrospect though, you've been a friend  

'cause my faith so tried, did grow ******* 

 Welcome, new year… with hidden graben  

I know you've got a few tricks up your sleeve    

You're too much for me but no match for heaven 

and we'll conquer you too, that is...  Jesus and Me!
