A great mood piece, Tinka. Captures all the mists and mellow remembrances of an English autumn. It kinda clings to the mind and heart like early morning fog, too. Really evocative. Hope you're coping with our sudden darkness and short days. I feel like I've jumped straight from midsummer to winter in one week. Great writing which captures all our thoughts and feelings. Sad reflections of past broken hearts, though now and then we can look back as long as we look back in order to look forward to the future and what may be better.

I know where you are coming from, Tinka. I am twenty-two chapters into "Misdemeanors & Felonies: A Memoir," and the past is a hard lover to deal with. I am only about a third of the way through the memoirs and already it is getting more and more difficult to write about the past, especially when it is not such a nice past you are dealing with . . .
