This is another face of the Somai civil war and the hardships children are going through
He is a chid of a war-torn nation
He lives with the pain of neglect
In the rubbish pits he scavenges
Hardly does he get a proper meal
Barefooted he walks in the heat
In the market stalls he sleeps
Yet he has irrepressible spirits
In the morning when he wakes up
His face beams with a warm smile
Radiating waves of passion and joy
He is a flower growing in the rubble
Right inside of an abandoned house
With nobody ever taking care of it
But never tiring to impress people
With petals as bright as a morning sun
Another example of man's inhumanity to man. When will they ever learn and respond in obedience to God's Commands: "Love Him and love your neighbor as yourself?" God is watching our conduct. Make no mistake about that. When the time comes for us to face Him, what will be our excuse for our disobedience? Now, there's something to think about. A stirring write, my friend. Here's something else to think about, the disciples came to Jesus saying, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?" Jesus called a little child unto Him, and set him in the midst of them, and He said: "Verily I say unto you, except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:1-3.
What a beautiful description of a child's purity of heart, even in the worst of circumstances!

The Somali child, neglected and in pain, insists on being a wonderful child, just like war-torn and ravaged Somalia refines some of the best poets. Write on!
