In my city of Vaxjo, Sweden, we have a beautiful lake called, Lake Växjö,which came back to life after a long hiatus: death of six winter months. Vaxjo is enjoying the Easter holiday to commemorate Jesus coming back to life but as a fan of nature who celebrates every Spring for nature´s return to life, I thought I could put the two events together this year. Last Spring it was the trees for which I made a poem in appreciation of their becoming green again and this year I sing for the lakes, with Lake Vaxjo representing all ther lakes in the world which have been frozen during the winter. N:B. Kaffe Fountain is my favorite place where I go to take coffee and it is located right beside the lake (that yellow building in the background). It is that very corner of the terrace where I was sitting when I started jotting down some of the lines of this poem. Thanks for taking time to read my story. I longed to see you back to life
For I was a witness of your death
I was standing beside you in vigil
As you gasped for a last breath
I tried to stop death from stealing you
But unable to save you in anyway
Today you are born again
You are back to life. What a joy!
I must celebrate for your comeback
Much as my friends observe Easter
From the balcony of Kaffe Fountain
I am enjoying the beauty of your smile
Taking pleasure of your shining face
Amid waves rolling at a gentle pace
Your love brightens my soul with love
As you make my heart aglow with love
There is no death----life keeps renewing itself
