Miracle of Spring

Young Spring is adorned in lush garments of green
And May Blossom in her bridal garlands doth preen,
Confetti petals by the Cherry tree are spread
As sweet Lilac nods her gracefully blushing head
And perfumes the air of this tranquil scene.

Hedgerows abound with the sound of bird song
As they sing out their joy the whole day long,
Sparrow, Blackbird and diminutive Jenny Wren
Building their nests side by side and then
Raise up new families to join the throng.
