Gas…

No, not the form from our assholes so warm & such a smell,

Although it is less expensive to use & works just as well,

More of a commentary on the expense of fossil fuels & how it does swell,

Or not, as I go along, I may change to that of another subject, what the hell…

Went out today and hot-rodded the old Jeep around all afternoon,

Yes, using up gas and generally getting past, those others on the road, the loons,

I have not driven the Jeep for quite a few weeks, leaving in her a full tank of plus,

At that time it was but $1.35, now it has risen to but $1.58, here in NJ, what a bust…

From the scene at gas stations all over the country, I wonder how it is we got this far,

Gasoline is abundant, or so we were told, maybe if we give back Iraq to Saddam,

All will go back to the way it was, the flow of gas then, can be released from the dam,

Either way, I worry, I am a driver-delivery person, will I lose my job as gas prices soar?

Neither can I use my old idea of just packing up and moving away, as the camper, it gets,

Only 5 miles to the gallon, or less, she gets on flat road, let alone on hills higher than dunes…
