Might As Well…

I have no political affiliations,

So when it comes time for the elections,

I go in to vote with my heart,

The one I wear out there on the end of my sleeve…

My only party, the one I have a modicum of affiliation,

Is the “Might As Well” party, no candidate, have we,

Not for this election just yet, maybe me,

As even I cannot screw up the nation,

Anymore than the guys that are running for re-election…

Then again I do think,

That Jerry Garcia or John Lennon would make a good president,

Does it matter so much that they are both dead?

Can’t do a worse job than the brain dead pair we have had the last four,

Or the one before that, he found that he could not keep his zipper up,

So much for politicians, none of which could pass an entrance exam,

No way in hell, no possible chance, under no possible condition…
