Like a beached whale I will be...

Poem Artwork

Beached & Bleached…

Like a whale on the beach doing its death flail,

Or run aground like a boat without a sail,

Or maybe just a shell less its live-in snail,

That’s how I look while reading a book,

Sitting on the edge of ole’ mom ocean, without fail…

They say a picture is worth a thousand words,

Not with this poem I am afraid, unless a seagull can take it,

Then that picture would be worth little & for the birds,

Will try however to eventually get a picture,

Might look like though just a bit of a nerd…

As a kid we used to run and splash the old folks,

Sitting on the edge of the ocean, relaxing,

Now I can be that old person, listening the kids make jokes,

But they better not splash me, as they have to sleep sometime,

That’s when I will play on them some kind of hoax…

That's the spirit! Listen to your 'inner child'... let him emerge fully and grin at everyone. It always works! I can see you now, eyeing possible victims, getting your splashing hand ready... and falling asleep with the book on your face. hehe... ENJOY! katy xox.

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D

Thanks for the smiles; I really can use 'em right now. Karla has a pinched nerve in her neck and may need surgery down the road, so times are not too good right now! I will keep you informed about this situation; stay tuned! :(

These days we all surely know that time does change physiques and the flesh rocks and rolls to the sun and it's damage and we....perservere, make our excuses and still do our beach clanket "thang"...even IF the blanket has to be bigger. Not me of course!! I never age...never wrinkle and rarely freckle.
DUCK!! My nose just did it's thing and grew ten inches.

All in fun and great memory. Thanks for this one.

You paint a pretty picture to laugh at but I bet you are really an adorable view and not really a
bleached beached whale but you're more like a
grand tanned male.
(Please don't bury those poor little children in the sand!)
All of this poem was cute and refreshing and I had a whale of a time reading it!

I'm dispatching some of my lovely loyal pigeons right now; tiny digital cameras attached to their feathered bellies. As you lie on the beach, squinting up at the sun, those may not be seagulls you see, but my little pets.

I bet I can sell these photos, for a very nice price, too!

You are still heading to the Nudist Beach, right? How much you willing to pay??
