I got a bit of a laugh writing this, hope you do so as well, reading it...

Ugly & High, Strange Bedfellows They Make…

As per my “new” picture on my bio page,

It may look as if I am all wisdom and sage,

But to tell the truth I am in a rage,

That picture taken when ugly and high for me was all the rage…

Drugged and I should have also been mugged,

As for that picture I was sort of bugged,

I loaned out my digital to the 11-year-old nephew next door,

Pictures he got of a party atmosphere we were attending,

All there were at the very least drunk, not I as I am defending,

I was only high, hope what I say here, is not for you offending,

Took my picture without my knowledge, wanted money to go to the store…

Damn kids, but later I did find that the picture, while ugly and high was I,

Was not such a bad likeness, as I even did try to smile just a bit,

So you see the results, of one of my weekend binges, just a bit lit,

Oh what the hell, I was thoroughly freakin’ gone that night, barely able to talk,

                Let alone walk…

Couldn’t come home, although a short 30 steps at most, slept on the ground,

Till the over night shower that awoke me abruptly, Mom Nature has it in for me,

Smoking and burning one of her flowers or is it a “weed”, grown from a seed,

Soaked through, burned out, high as the proverbial dirigible, finally got home,

To Rufuz’ angry bark, and stern stare, I did it again, twice, tripping up the stairs…
