Penny Found…

Found is a penny, my luck is changing,

Heads up is the penny, better luck than many,

One cent not too much, better than never finding any,

Not so much the money, more so the luck of the finding,

Some pennies old, some are more new, their shine still blinding…

Keep your eyes open, pennies are so lucky, isn’t that just ducky?

Found pennies have I in the dirt, the city, and even where it’s mucky,

Put them away for a rainy day, to trade in for something in Kentucky…

Having money seems to permanently elude me,

But pennies are easier to collect; they don’t preclude me,

So small they may be, when added up they make more,

Should we collect them and trade them in when we go on a spree?

Well let me think about this and then we will see…
