Not exactly in the right category, but what category do I use when the right one does not exist...?

Boardwalk Evening…

Of course, now that the whole day rained,

The beach off limits, lifeguards there as they were trained,

Mother Nature did wash off the beach,

The boardwalk still out of reach, to wet,

Not today is the boardwalk a fun loving peach…

But, a bright spot on the horizon,

Is that the sun, it is time for the fun,

But of course it almost six o’clock,

Not much sun left in the day this one,

No worries today with regards the sun block…

So now that we got sun, what do we do?

Go back to bed and take a nap or two,

Guess we can still enjoy the night on the boardwalk in Ocean City,

Ride the Ferris wheel, looking down on the world with pity,

Ride the roller coaster as many times as possible, feeling giddy,

Or ride the little boats, ringing the bells; don’t look upon me with pity!

The ocean, she still roars in the background,

The visitors avoided her today, she sports a frown,

Don’t worry dear ocean; friend of mine, they will be back,

And you can bitch and moan about their trash,

As every other beach day, then you will rebound…

Beach days, lovely days there in Ocean City too in past and in future. Love to be in that water and atmosphere, always.

Rainy day today? We had bright sun and about 85 degrees. A great day to be outdoors for us, but as you say, your day will dawn again soon.

The ocean is the only place that will always be closest to my heart!!

Thanks for sharing this Ed!!
