Humor for you,
Horror for me,
What else can I do,
But laugh at myself, yes me...

Poem Artwork

Six hours next to death…

Don’t know how it happened,

Don’t know where it came from,

Don’t know what I had eaten,

Maybe it was the Coke, as I am a Pepsi drinker,

Either way I was sick as the proverbial dog,

Felt as if I was again a drinking stinker…

First I did lose my lunch,

Then headache for hours,

No sleep could I get,

Just whining in pain,

You know how bad men are as patients…?

Then when I did feel a bit better,

Thought some soup and toast would be good,

Maybe it would have been, no butter though, I should,

Finally, after an antacid, the second time for my stomach to rebel,

Gone was my soup and toast to that snack I said farewell…

Feel better now, no headache, no tummy aches,

Fearful of eating anything though,

Now my question is when should I eat something?

Don’t want to make any more mistakes…

Here I come to save the daaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!! You need the B.R.A.T. diet... yep! That's what they put me on for 2 weeks when I was so sick and it not only made me feel better, I lost weight and felt great! (No fair sticking your nose in the air... this works!) B= bananas.. R= rice.. A= applesauce (get the stuff with cinnamon) T= toast (dry.. ICK) BUT... I got clever and smooshed my banana on my toast... then, for variety, I smeared applesauce on my toast... ANYTHING to avoid DRY toast... At first the rice is plain, BUT... add some broth or melt a bouillon cube and voila! flavor! Oh.. and drink at least 8-8oz. glasses of water every day... let me know. It's CHEAP, too! (grin) katy xox.

I'm glad you're better, Ed. What is it about stomach viruses that make us feel like the Grim Reaper is standing over us with his blade carving the end that very moment?

Hope you feel better soon, pal; but I have to see, if your illness produced that graphic - awesome! It would be fantastic for a Halloween Horror write.
