KIN of the Variety Pump…

They do look like those that buy,

Perhaps I see it because of the rye,

They sit there at a house; they don’t lie,

Wish they do that they could stretch out,

But its not in their genes, they are too roundabout…

Yeah I got kin of the variety pump,

We all do, as they do resemble us, not a stump,

They have just a face and head; they don’t need a rump,

So do go out & find the one you like, before they end up in the trash dump…

Per another poet here, they have this toothless grin,

Or maybe it is this time the drink they call gin,

A candle placed inside, better than light bulb within,

At the end of the season I will have lose my kin, much to my chagrin…

ever notice, Eddie M, that jack-o-lanterns are their scariest when they begin to collapse and shrink into their carvings? I always found them to be weirder a week or so after getting the faces we give them... good turn-of-phrase poem... katy xox.

The Wholly Book of Genesis by Jay Dubya

The Wholly Book of Genesis is a humorous satire on the first book of the Old Testament where the Story of Creation, the building of Noah's Ark, Sodom and Gomorrah and the families of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are thoroughly spoofed and broadsided.
