To awaken early and rise, I do just hasten my demise, For the earlier I do awaken, The more time I do have to eat, All the fries, pies and thighs I can spy...

Early to Bed, Early to Work… Makes one earn more than the local soda jerk, But before you do go on me, berserk, Please do recall and remember I have this quirk, I have to make you smile or at least grin, Or better yet I have to make you show your enjoyment with a smirk… Early to bed, after a full dinner meal, This does nothing for the opposite sexes appeal, For all that food does just sit there and rot, In the stomach before it does reflux, a situation so surreal… And we wonder where our guts do come from, Sorry to my doctor and my heart, but for greasy food I do succumb, Although I do try to make it a rule of thumb, To wash it all down with a big mug of rum… Now where was it I was going with this little story? Was not trying to make you feel in anyway gory, Just was I trying to make the point that in the early morning there is found great glory… © ed ~ 11/23/04

mmm, well I have to admit to being a lazy slob, I only work around 20 hours a week and at weekends I dont rise until around lunchtime. My hubby and I usually find something to keep us in bed, oops sorry. But, yes, I do know what you mean, when I get up at seven and throw open the curtains there is a certain glory. Since I hit my late 40`s, seems I cant eat past 7pm or I suffer........aarrrggghhhh!

the only day i really work "early" is sunday; i go in at 10 am (WHEE! LOL), but i am up before the sun, and i don't go back to bed. can't afford it; am afraid of sleeping in and being late! NOT good! the other days, i work afternoons, early evenings.
