The Flu…

No, please don’t take me to a hospital,

It’s only the flu,

Oh, no Ed, said the doctor,

You’ve not got the flu,

You got something brand new,

Aachoo, aachoo, bless you…

See, now you have given it to me,

My eyes are all swelled I can hardly see,

Damn you Ed, before you leave be sure to pay your fee,

No, Ed, we cannot share the same room,

I know how much during the night you do get up to pee…

I got sweats and chills,

The Hershey squirts and the oral spills,

Can’t take no pills,

Nothing will stay down,

Ain’t this just a freakin’ thrill…?

Is it starve a cold,

Or feed a fever,

Or the other way around,

Oh please just save my aching head,

Slice it in half with the working end of a meat cleaver…

Reminds me of the time I went for a physical and my doctor bragged he hadn't been sick. I looked right at him and said "ah -ah -ah--"\

He held up his hands in mock horror and said, "No! No!" We were all lauging. Hope you don't come down with it tomorrow for writing this. gesundheit

There is some nasty flu's hitting in AB and it seems no one can escape it, not even me. The 5 point hitting one is the worst of all of them. Good capture of the suffering of those that have had the flu. People are getting flu shots and yup there getting the flu :-)

Well I would not want to share the room with my doctor but the flu is the pits. Took me a month to get over it.Let's all vote to outsource the flu to who really deserves it his initials are. OSBL.
Maybe he will sneeze and sttt himself out of that hole he is hiding in. Good write though Ed.

Wait a minute! You said you had a female doctor. Trying to share a room, hey?! Hmm. And how the heck does she know how many times you get up at night to pee. Hmm!
