Kids need Friends…

A dog is loyal,

They can teach kids to others foil,

But a kid needs a real friend,

Otherwise he will be licking his own balls,

And that is not something we want him to do at the malls…

A cat can be independent,

Teaching a kid how to survive,

This will keep a kid able to stay alive,

But coughing up furballs,

Is not something we want them for to strive…

A bunny rabbit can teach a kid a lot,

The least of which is what not to do when hot,

Prolific they tend to be, the bunnies, the kids not,

If that were the case, as parents we should,

In our kids pants maybe we could tie a knot…?

Hamsters are also good pets,

At the very least it teaches responsibility,

Feeding them and cleaning their cages,

Learning to deal with death and loss and regrets…

But a kid really needs a friend,

Someone he can on depend,

One that can stay with him till the very end,

One that can teach him not to be licking at his own rear end,

Or sniffing at same on others, as this action does tend to offend…
