Does anyone really know where we get our ideas from...?

Poem Artwork

Footprints in the Snow…

From whence did they come?

To wherence do they go?

Are they mine or is the dog wearing sneakers?

If so then my feet I cannot feel, they must be numb…

They pass by me to go off into the trees,

These footprints made by feet below the knees,

Damn I wish the dog would my sneakers give back,

My feet they are getting worse than numb, closer they are to freeze…

Cold is the snow that the footprints are made in,

Will they stay there through eons of time?

Will future science wonder and be amazed at a dog in sneakers?

Or will those footprints just melt with the passage of time,

Much the same as this poem should do coming as it has,

From the weird side of my unabashed mind…

Take 3 dish pans of rainwater, stir in 10 tons of imagination and sprinkle odds and ends from reality and VOILA! Ideas! (I can send recipes for toothpaste and laundry soap, too... but it's the idea recipe you asked for here).

I'd say you've mastered these time-honored directions. Lovely! (grin) katy xox

Ed,

A thought provoking write--be glad for those footprints, they come in handy if you're lost. :)

Well I think that my dog would like the sneakers idea because he hates getting his paws wet and cold. But then he knows he can always warm them up on mommie's back.

Those look like Jersey Devil Footprints to me, Ed. I hear he's very sneaky, and he wears slippers to trick people. Be Careful!
