Gotta give the Muse its chance to relax too...

Poem Artwork

Museual Vacation…

Where does it go when vacation it takes?

To the desert to lay in the sand and bake?

To the sea to frolic in the waves and late awake?

To the woods and skinny dip in a lake? J

Wish my muse would take me along,

I try to explain I would do no wrong,

But it tells me it likes to get away from the throngs,

Perhaps its gone as far away as Hong Kong…? J

I guess it is taking its Museual vacation,

Far from the maddening crowds and any frustration,

This I must allow it to do, it does deserve compensation,

For so many wonderful ideas and inspiration…J

So when your muse does take its sabbatical,

Don’t be upset and act all fanatical,

It too does deserve a break from the grammatical,

For if we do not, the muse can break down,

That would therein be quite probably problematical…J
