I guess its humorous...fortunately my dad can't respond...;)

Poem Artwork

Will ya look at that nose,

Damn its bigger than a hose,

Glad I didn’t get that family part,

But got to admit, dad did, in the end, have a big heart…

They say he looked a bit like Rockefeller,

Wish he had his money instead of his looks,

Guess our family again got rooked,

Fortunately for me dad is gone,

Or my goose would be quite cooked…

Died he did with a full head of blondish hair,

Why then at a younger age do I have gray,

Least ways my head will never to the air be bare,

Though what does it matter, after your dead, you’re dead,

Your body does then decay…

Did I mean this poem to be humorous,

At least I did think that was the rumorous,

Dad did die of some kind of tumorous,

Hopefully you do find my sense of comedy numerous…

Your rhyme has me in stiches. Speaking of which, if it didn't run in the family, did he sew that one on to look rich?

My Dad favored Vince Lombardi (and the Packers), although he didn't have any teeth, like Bobby Hull. Dad clearly got his prominent probiscus from his mother, an affliction only my sister caught.

Life is a mystery even when we know who our parents are. Which traits did we get from whom and why. Your father may no longer be here in body, but it is obvious that he remains quite alive in your heart. Beware of the smack you might receive on your head tonight while you are sleeping...you dad might come calling in your dreams.
Take care,
Sherry

No, your dad can't respond to this poem, Ed..but he lives in your heart. Part of him will always live on in you.
