If the Chinese say it’s a dogs year,

Shouldn’t we get with our dinners a beer,

At least also maybe a girl doggie for me to at leer,

Daddy says he was born in the year of the horse,

And I was born in the year of the dragon,

All this aside I have no clue, I bark for more till I go hoarse…

I just think we dogs should get recognition,

I am not tryin’ to overstep my bounds of ambition,

Just tryin’ to get what’s coming to us, by now it should be tradition,

I am lucky, I get treated well, though some are treated with ammunition…

We all gain seven to the humans one,

Humans take longer to learn of love,

We are here less because we are born of love,

And thereby we try to teach humans what they need,

You might think that just once, humans would of us concede…
