Poem Artwork

My dog would not eat my mouse,

He does all day protect our house,

The cat I did kitten-sit did eat my mouse,

Never again would I allow it in our house…

Rufuz wanted to pay it back,

Eat it just the same as it did to the poor mouse,

But I intervened and sent it packing,

Sent it back to its own family I did,

I even did not on Ebay put it up for bid…

We did bury the mouse,

Gave it full honors,

It did its job quite well,

Hope the cat does develop,

A furball the size of the Liberty bell…

Are you absolutely sure it was the cat who ate that mouse?
You've been known to eat while sleeping walking in your house.
Or perhaps it could have been - those pet ants in your pants;
But I'm guessing you ate it, Brother, in your sleep walking trance.
