humorish...(with respects to the Students for a Democratic Society or the SDS)

 

Many writers are we,

No Hurst’s though you see,

No machine guns in our hands,

No berets on our heads,

We just with each other follow the bands…

 

Okay so we already live in a society of democracy,

Most of our politicians though should be tested for idiocy,

They speech make like they mean it, most though is hypocrisy,

All we want is to end the bureaucracy,

Nor do we want anything to do with theocracy…

 

All we ask, is to continue on as we have been,

As well not to have to listen to the political din,

Just let us write the way we want and drink our gin,

If none of this can we get, we will just have to develop a thicker skin…
