New Jersey, The Red Light State of the Union

I am in a mood to bash NJ...bear with me...;)

Poem Artwork

New Jersey has sex on the brain,

Three counties with SEX in the name,

Sure other places have the same,

But NJ has it all, or so they claim…J

So many it has of beaches,

The casino’s have too many leeches,

Supposedly we too have the best of those who teach,

Nothing like learning how to stack the deck,

Cheating on roulette, hiding cards behind the neck…J

One big city it does look as if,

From in the north the Palisades cliff,

To the south the salt air to sniff,

In between though so many petroleum plants,

If driving between New York city and Delaware,

Keep at hand a oxygen bottle to, in an emergency, take a whiff…J

But what about The Barrens? Surely there is no tawdry sex, or gambling houses, or suffocating air pollution there. Ye best move in there, you Jersey Devil, you - and live free!

It really is the garden state you know and there isn't much finer than the ocean area there, I'm defendin my birth state, because I had a fantastic childhood there. Can't say that for my marriage, but before that it was the best. I know you like it too;-)woof Rufuz, you do too!;-)

The people who fill the oxygen bottles are essential employees. The only state I know which could close and no one notices.

Howdy neighbor.
NJ is my home, but like with strange relatives...sometimes you just have to laugh.
Thanks for helping.

Good for the soul.

NJ is shut down? No casinos? What will we do?

NJ is on the other side of the world from Arizona.
