What the heck (sorry ladies) is a summer dog day,

Daddy said we are in the dog days of summer,

Does that mean I get treats and stuff that day,

Or are you going to make me feel it’s a bummer…

If no treats or biscuits are forthcoming,

And daddy goes about life humming,

His fingers they are to the tune drumming,

What of me is becoming…

I cannot wait for the end of the dog days,

Because then I get to ride with dad in a daze,

He lets me ride in our car, barking at horsies,

Has my question been answered, if so I’d be amazed…J

Summer Dog days??? I can attest to that, we have them here, reeel hot summer dog days. BUT we get to go swimming at the beach, it's salty and lots of fun chasing seagulls, but we have a great time, don't worry Rufuz, Trust us would we tell you fibs?

I fear we humans often cannot answer your most profound questions, Rufuz. You dogs are just too damned smart.

Hi Woofie!

I'm sure that you often look at Daddy like that. I do. I love the way you scout and announce horsies along the way--keeps those horse flies at bay.

Tell Daddy thanks for helping to make my 50th pretty magical. Oh yeah, tell him I said to eat me too. We don't want to make him think he's too likeable.

Swishy kisses,

Scott

Ha, I've seen you post that pic before. Rufuz is very photogenic as you are in the cowboy hat. Dog Days are over July 3-Aug 11. Now watch out for the snakes. They are shedding skin and their eyes go milky. They'll strike at anything. Send me some Rufuz fur and I will send you some of my white wolves fur...hope all is well with you and Rene, Ed...be well...
