My dear brother, Ed, did challenge me to a race, all the while knowing I abhor racing on cement...maybe in the barrens, but...e

Poem Artwork

My dear OLDER brother,

Did not mention or bother,

To tell you all of my fear of racing,

I might do better to do on foot pacing…

He likes to make his YOUNGER brother look bad,

Putting my **it on the boardwalk, ever since I was a lad,

So now, he can say he won by default,

Though if he wants to join me in the Pine Barrens,

There we can go four wheeling, my jeep then we will exalt…

His inability to keep up with me will become apparent,

Hopefully with you he will become most transparent,

He tries to make out he is the one picked on,

Instead, if you look closely enough, you will see he is most aberrant…

Though let me state quite clearly,

I was the one treated while growing up most severely,

Him acting most all the time quite cavalierly,

Treating his poor, poor YOUNGER brother not very dearly…L

Somehow I already knew in advance
That you would soon 'chicken out'
Everyone gathered here at the Speedway
Has already started to grumble and to pout.
Soon, they will be leaving, and going back to bed,
'Yep, he chickened out again, that other brother Ed.'
