Thanks to Anita for the great picture...

Poem Artwork

Even with all the warnings,

He still ate spinach in the mornings,

Now we are all for him in mourning,

If only he nuked it in Corning…

Olive oil & the kid are crying,

Brutus is even upset over Popeye’s dying,

He shoulda’ used his head over brawn,

Now with wings he is forever flying…

A hero he was to some,

To others he was a crumb,

Born & raised in a slum,

Who ever thought that,

From e-coli he would succumb…L

There was a guy who used to eat hamburgers, and a saying of his was, "That was Tuesday." I remember that one, because my Dad used it a lot. O, I know, his name was Wimpy! Wasn't he a friend of Popeye's? Lucky for him, he only eats red meat, not green stuff.
Great humor, Ed. Just what I like.

I used to enjoy Popeye. In Malta we have a Popeye village, the place where they made the film. Now it will be in mourning, half flag flying. Victor
