If one can be happy without a job, then I am that one...(picture of a 1930s unemployment line)

Poem Artwork

Layed off,

Fired,

Blown out,

In mud mired…

No job,

Lack of employment,

Needed a break,

Heaven sent…

Being money careful,

Of late being prayerful,

No giving you here any bull,

Over your eyes I wouldn’t pull wool…

Has darkness over me descended, you ask,

Not really for eventually on unemployment I will bask,

Just a couple of months, then a new job will of me task,

For now though I am quite comfy, smoking of my herb,

And drinking regularly from my stainless steel flask…J

Ed, there's nothin' funny about being unemployed! I know; I'm there now; can't work again; tryin' to get on disability, which is a long, drawn-out, frustrating process!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :(

Ed, I've always thought this notion of "work" was highly over-rated. No sense in working right now, anyway, it's going to snow tonight...too cold to work.

Cheers,
Dan

Are the Republicans still in office? If so, your unemployment checks just might be confiscated to sponser their 2008 campaigns! LOL!

Being unemployed has its benefits. You get to do what you want, no one to bug about why something isn't the way 'they' want it.

But, I'm off to look for a job, Monday. Been home too long, need to re-integrate. Not looking forward to it, but then again I do like face-to-face interactions. Enjoy your time at home.

You really think you're going to get away with this, you already had one job offer as you can see, but I admire your courage my friend! You have no Idea, quitting work is like quitting smoking, especially the stuff you're on at the moment, and make sure that metal flask is not aluminium, or you might get Alzheimers, well on the other hand, you might forget about work alltogether, you'd be winning wouldn't you? Ed, I wish you much success, and I hope you win either way. Been there and feel. Much Blessings on you! Jasmin Horst

You are in luck, Brother! Our Pooper Scooper guy just quit - said he was tired of all the sh*t everyone was giving him. You'll get three squares a day, and a very comfy bunk in the outhouse. And with Christmas approaching, the reindeer start fattening up and pooping more. Let me know. If you're not interested, enjoy your Sabbatical!
