HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM THE EAST COAST OF THE UNITED STATES...rufuz

Poem Artwork

They started all of a sudden,

No more please again,

That noise did certainly scare me,

Over it is for another year,

Thank you God, amen…

I am pretty darn tuff,

But those works of fire & related stuff,

Scare me pretty darn silly,

I am serious here, I would not you bluff…

Daddy doesn’t understand I get pretty stressed,

Then he lets me lay on his lap & get petted,

I know, I know I am quite very well blessed,

I really do have to tomorrow find those that made the boom,

I think I am within my rights to express how I feel,

I really think, yes I do, I will go to them and offer my protest…

I agree with you, Rufuz, but fireworks are a way that we celebrate sometimes and I know how loud and startling they are to me so with your perceptions so much more keen, I can only imagine how frightening they must be to you. Have your Daddy go to the health food store and get you some Bach Flower "Rescue Remedy;" it will keep you calm without drugging you and it is all natural. I use it for all my animals whenever they are going through stressful times, fireworks, trips to the vet, even for cross-country drives and it makes it so much easier on them. One bottle will last for years because you only need a few drops and you will not grow all those grey hairs from all the loud banging of those nasty fireworks.
Take care,
Sherry

Rufuz,I'm sorry to hear of your fright. I hope you don't decide to file a lawsuit...they are too expensive and you probably wouldn't win, anyhow. Sometimes I think U.S. courts are going to the dogs!

I know a black lab named Pogo, actually one of my grand-dogs, who would be glad to go with you to protest. She has panic attacks in thunderstorms and does a lot of damage, all innocently, of course. I think she has post-traumatic MESS syndrome.

Hopefully, things will be quiet for a few months.

Peace, Rufuz
Connie

Rufuz, when you find out who lit up the sky, why don't you sniff out their house then pee on their lawn as you go by.

Have a Happy New Year Rufuz and to Ed too.

Rufuz,

Fireworks are so beautiful for humans to watch, we forget they terrify our animal friends. Point well taken...excellent reminder. I've heard that a mild sedative helps.

(((HUGS))), love and Happy New Year to you, Rene and Ed,

Karla.

By that title, I thought your nasty old Dad had gas again, Rufie Boy. And it's best to be prepared - so I'm sending you a gas mask for his gas attacks, and ear plugs for those nasty fireworks.

PS Your year-end Royalty check for the Adventures of Ruff 'N Ready Rufuz, Pet Detective - has been deposited in your bank account per your request - and don't tell you know who!!

Rufuz, I know exactly how you feel: those fireworks and firecrackers do scare animals; they don't like loud, banging noises. I don't know of any animal that does. My kittycats used to be terrified whenever they would hear fireworks going off in the distance; same with firecrackers. Their hearing is so much more sensitive than we humans' hearing; it's no wonder they whine, bark, meow, or hiss at the sound of bombs going off! (And then humans call that "FUN"~ Go figure!!) Just stay close to your daddy; he'll protect you!

Happy '2008'; hope it's your best year EVER!! LOVE YOU, you da DAWG!!

(((HUGS))) As always, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D
