Poem Artwork

If I fill my car

My phantom boat remains empty

If I fill that phantom boat

The car can be used, with the sunroof

To stare into the heavens at the

                     …stars… J

I might as well move into the phantom boat

It holds more gas than anything else

As long as I don’t run it, ten gallons per hour

Rene won’t again because of spending money

                   …glower…J

She’s not such a bad sort

She’s just frugal and a little bit with me, short

As for when I ask for something expensive

She has a tendency to go on the extreme

                      …defensive…J

REnee has a lot of backup to call upon. All I do is work, pay bills and work. Everything else has gone by the wayside since food and gas have gone up. I'm with you on this one.

If you can rig a sail, you can have it both way.

BTW -- Saw Herb the other day, riding in his hybrid. He looked a little green in the gills, so I asked.

Herb said that he was eating again,

Hoping I'd scare him off that bad habit, I hit the gas and smoked him.

Sounds as though Rene has a pretty level head, methinks. 'Stead of a boat, spend time planting and tending a garden...vegetables, that is, no weeds in between the rows ;o\ ~~ Micke

One way to save on gas: W A L K!! We do, Karla and myself; we can't even afford a car, not even a dead one! LOL We have our feet and our crutches (or cane) to get by! LOL

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D

Ed,

LOL at Georg's comment - truth! LOL

Everything expensive - going up, except the paycheck - pretty soon, all we'll have is dreams, because we won't be able to afford NOTHING. Sad - and very well penned.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. :(
