Poem Artwork

I couldn’t complain,

Not nearly enough do I get,

Any extra food I love you can bet,

Specially the kind that does of my stomach stain…

My neighbor doesn’t make his chili often,

But when he does it is too good to pass,

It’s the kind that before its eaten you should go to mass,

For its strong enough to put you right into a coffin…

As well sent over a few ice cream treats,

But it’s the chili with all the enclosed beans & beets,

That keeps me running to the “inhouse”,

Cleaning out my systems with the power of a hose from a firehouse…

Well well well! that's the foul smell coming from Jersey State that made it so famous? I though you were supposed to run to the "inhouse" bucket only after eating chilli con carne in Me-hee-co!

LOL, Ed, a bit TMI, but still: don't look a gift bowl of chili (and ice cream) in the mouth!! Count yer blessings. Many not as blessed as you are, having neighbors who care.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

So if I smell a strange odor coming from the NE ... LOL!!

It's been so long since I've tasted chili I will have to rely on the greatness of your description of it.
