Mean Old Cousin Goggin Arrives in Jersey…

Poem Artwork

From Pennsylvania he did cross the Delaware river bridge,

Really I tried to hide my camper behind a local ridge,

But he found me anyway & headed straight for my fridge…

But when he got there the “cupboard” was bare,

Ceptin’ for lots of bottles of bottled water & some milk,

But you know people of our cousins ilk,

He screamed & raved that no beer or home made brew was there…

So off he went, I directed him 7 or so hundred miles west,

From inside his shirt he produced a compass, hidden by his hairy chest,

He left last night and headed towards Pee-Wee’s place, I guessed…

So, dear brother from Illinois, be ready to receive the Goggin cousins,

They are heading your way forthwith, better have plenty of beer,

For they left here with very little under their belts cheer,

Drank they did most of my water, as old Cousin Goggin gave to me a vicious leer…

Man, Oh, Man, am I ever glad I never gave you my new address when I moved to Wisconsin. But I did give the guy I sold my Illinois place to a note for old Cousin Ed if he ever showed up there, with directions to Sister Tiger Lily's place in Sacramento!!

Man, Oh, Man, is she ever gonna be pissed, at you! Not to mention old Brother Edvard - he told old Cousin Ed Goggens that you'd be real glad to put him up, for at least a few months.

Man, Oh, Man - you're in Deep Doo Doo Now, Bro. I sure hope you at least let him borrow your car, like old Edvard said he could.
