At least about humor...

Poem Artwork

Should I categorize this under humor,

Or should I instead, since there is a distinct of late, lack of,

Put this under another category such as rumor,

Is it a rumor that my humor has dissipated,

Maybe, perhaps or just about, it has because of my blue mood,

                                          degraded…

I still hope my humerus/humorous is intact,

For if it were not I would be failing in health in fact,

My health is directly related to my funny bone, hope it isn’t,

                                         cracked…

Maybe then my humor is the one that’s cracked,

Most times anyway it seems to be completely abstract,

Not of late has it been ever humorously exact,

But I hope for all your sakes that it was something good & made a positive,

                                          IMPACT…

You could really make an IMPACT if you picked up that bone and used it to CRACK someone, but not me, please; I'm just a tease.
Before the pic came through, I read the whole poem, so when I scrolled back to the top, there was this big bone--the perfect touch!
Your humor is still in there, do not fear.

it surely does, Ed de funny man! I can totally relate about humour being health to our bones and see myself in the same light. I'd be kinda dead and long gone if it weren't for mine, I'm sure... but as long as I don't kill others off in the process, guess that's OK! :)) I felt the same about my dog-dumpster write and it was a risk to post it... yet peeps' even response notwithstanding the irreverent/unkind look at the subject matter was encouraging and affirming. Keep making your special brand of impact, Ed. It helps all of us along... xxxxx

When you shave off a hundred pounds of a guy, all that's left is humor, Ed...you still got it...open mike day or night, you're still on stage...git 'er done...

Love,
Sage

Far better to be humorous than bluemorous. Abstract humor is the best I think, more original. Of course it helps to have an abstract brain to interpret. Patrick

Wow! You must watch the T.V. show 'Bones,' too. I recently watched an exciting episode where a corpse they found was missing a Humerus.

But I didn't find it very humorous, when I dislocated my humerus, several years ago. But Keep On, Keep On, Mr. Humerus/Humorous!
