That is the question herein that I pose,

I find these prices to of me dumbfound,

Why do prices rise by nickels & dimes,

But when they fall, only by cents do they go down…

I grant you gas prices are not funny,

But I know I am getting screwed in the hiney,

NJ is actually quite low in the broad sense,

Still I see a lot of people showing their moon during the day sunny…

But suppose you do of this enjoy,

Come on now don’t be to me coy,

Just express yourself, let it all hang out,

Just as in the picture that butt is hanging out, oh boy…

That photo is priceless! Would love to see her face!

I think the federal government and the states should each tack an additional $.50 per gallon tax on gasoline.

These taxes would help the states and federal government reduce their deficits and save needed jobs like teachers and firemen. These taxes would cause people to rethink their wasteful driving habits and drive less, as well as consider hybrids and electric cars as viable options instead of polluting gasoline. Our dependence on foreign oil would be reduced along with the pollution.

Raising taxes, in this case would help lessen big oil's stranglehold on our economy and political system and be a win, win, win situation for everyone.

$1.26 a litre up here and this morning one of the service stations offered a ten cent a liter discount for one hour, they had to have the police come in to control the traffic that it created.

Ed,
did you stomp your feet and shout obscenities way back when gas hit $1 per gal.?
Did you write your congressman when oil hit $50 per barrel?
Did you raise your voice in support of alternative fuel sources?
Your poem is funny, no doubt, but truthfully my friend this crisis did not just happen, yet, we are still dependent on someone else's profit taking. What will you say when gas hits $5 per gallon?

Cheers with no offense intended,
Dan
