I have to laugh as there is little reason or anything I can do if I were to cry...

Poem Artwork

A nice way to say wetting the self or bed,

Here I am fifty & seven,

And here I feel only again eleven,

Is it my bladder being weak,

Or the pills I take to make me take a leak…

I am told there is nothing to be done,

At least during the day I don’t leak,

That part of the battle so far I’ve won,

Ever since they removed my gall bladder,

My urinary bladder has gotten mostly badder…

Okay so this is a weird subject to write about,

But it seemed apropos before going to bed,

My body does relax when down I lay my head,

And I guess its better to not have fluid in,

Instead in those good old Depends the fluid goes out…J

You must be running out of ideas for poems. I have a great idea for you. It's called the Texas condom. In case you haven't heard of it, I will send you a separate e-mail filling you in.

I'm sure you're not the only fiftyish person afflicted like this, Ed....giggle...I guess you do write about pretty much everything...that's kool...

There are lots of folks out there who depend on them for a normal lifestyle Ed. That's why they are called DEPENDS. It's okay.

I guess it all Depends on one's outlook on life - it's probably better to be a little leaky than not to be around at all.

PS: I was hot on Shorty's trail when you called last night - following his 'leaks' down a dark alley.

Fortunately, I didn't have a problem when they took my gall bladder out. Hang in there, Ed.

You write about weird stuff, so it isn't a surprise. Usually I shy away from poem which include bodily functions, but I can deal with this one fairly well. I'm confused by the last line, do you use Depends?
