Poem Artwork

Hippies we were,

Never wore clothes of fur,

Only did we wear hemp,

And sometimes we did of it smoke,

Still do we often take a toke…J

Don’t forget how much we had,

I don’t think any of us were really bad,

Sex was fun, drugs were more,

Hey, we were young and didn’t know then the score…J

Now our bodies are giving us hell,

Some of us are just not downright well,

But good memories we have of those days,

Sunshine daydreams, dropping acid, smoking pot,

Those days long gone by, miss them we do,

But no memory of them can make us blue…J

LOL I thought it was trust no-one over 30..
If it's under 60 I'm in trouble lol
Never touched the stuff as a young flower
girl.. I was high on nature only... it
wasn't until many years later I tried it
and ehhh I didn't like it... BLEH... I prefer
to be in control and happy with the elements :)

But cute and wonderful poem Ed

Always been a bit of a hippie myself. Haven't dropped or smoked anything for years... too many responsibilities for that - but I got great memories. :o)

Well, I did not drop acid and I did not smoke pot or anything else... ...it's never too late though, right? Love and peace,

Regis (but I was a hippie in my own way) Lol!

Thank God that I never dropped acid or smoked pot. My Wild Turkey, Beer, and Cigarettes must be keeping me in pretty good shape since I can still chase after homeless dogs - and I can still catch them, too.
