Poem Artwork

Last night by the shore, the flash lights were bright

I watched the curly white waves   feverishly scroll down the helm

Drunkenly swirling, foaming in the darkness of  night

Moved the frenzied, violent   throbbing  dark form

Its   passion driven dance, what a voluptuous sway I saw

White sparkling waves sprinkling, now throughout the shore

At times unable to hold its might, heavily thudding down

All the way far and wide rolling, spreading its salty breathe

It huffed and  puffed and it hit against the rocks

It was the high tide drunkenly breaking at the shore,

Stood naughtily playing through much of the night

It leapt ahead longing   each time with  crazy swelling moves

It gushes its way in darkness, a mile into the sand dime

Noisy waves galloping hither thither but in a settled line

But by the time it was dawn, it quietly lay down.

Nothing came out or went in the hangover of the night before

Beautifully written.
White sparkling waves, frenzied dark to quiet at dawn.

Yes those waves do act like they're drunk at times. Great metaphor.
