He slips beneath moonlight,
there a soul distraught,
there a soul in peace.

His many facets
bring together paradoxes.
Eyesight so distant as close,
touching the world’s pulse.

He sees the ugly.
He has indignation,
settling wrongs
by writing its pain.

He sees the beautiful,
glories in its presence,
making things right,
a joy unknown to most.

A splinter, jagged,
heartless
may pierce him.
He pulls it out bravely,
moves on with the day.

His youthfulness undeniable,
yet mature in mind.
He is the perfect combination,
sensing all surrounding him,
awake with determination.

Those things he cannot allow,
like illness.
It shrieks and runs,
after a mere six hours.

This man is my hero;
this man knows no “no”s.
For all must be processed,
no matter how deep,
or high within and without.

I love you
and you alone.

that encourages me
