A typical May Bank holiday, which exemplifies why the UK rarely suffer droughts. Precipitation abounds but stalwart and stiff upper lip results in a walk in the wet stuff!!!...

Bluebell Woods A much needed respite Bad weather, despite A breath of fresh air A walk, if you dare A glance to the right May flowers ablaze; light Orange petals glowing Yellows dazzle; water flowing Pinks warm the eyes Crimsons surprise Magentas protrude Peaches exude Busy bees harvest pollen; buzz Wind gently Maple leaves blow Woods sheltering the fells Awash with a sea of Bluebells The blue sea affords such delight Bluebells a very welcome respite ©Andrea Coltman

Yes!...and this is why we live in the UK!!

A beautiful collection of words and images...is there anything as quintessentially British as a 'Bluebell Wood'...even if on a wet May Bank Holiday! A lovely evocative poem..
