The leaves in trees with autumn breeze blooming to resume
the color coven of their cloves within sweet nature's loom
as cricket, spider, frog and bat feel the chill approach
within the sunlight's golden rays and silver stars moon broach.

Await the time when winter winds wish to visit there
and spread them out beneath tree limbs to blanket roots with care
so as to keep them well and warm nourishing their cores
before the frost and freeze commence upon its earthy shore.
