They float through the air with the greatest of ease
floating and twirling, dancing on the breeze
taking on color, pure white for their journey
stirring excitement as people see.
Little frozen rain drops dressed as snowflakes
sifting through clouds, their journey to make,
across tops of mountains, along riverbanks,
mixed by cold winds down forest lanes.
Sticking to coat sleeves, melting on tongues,
spreading cheeky smiles, oh so much fun,
snow days from school, snowmen in clothes,
such simple occurrence so wondrous to behold.
